Zac Brown Band Makes History, Gifts Free Cruises to 35K Fans in Audience

Zac Brown Band gave the crowd a huge surprise during a show over the weekend: free cruise tickets.

During the group’s record-breaking 15th consecutive performance at Boston’s Fenway Park this past Sunday, the band revealed that each member of the 35,000-attendee audience will receive free tickets to the Margaritaville at Sea cruise.

“Tonight we’re going to do something that even Jimmy would say is crazy,” Brown said on stage before performing “Same Boat” — the 2022 collaboration with the late Jimmy Buffett. “I’m buying every single person here a cruise for two people on the boat. This is the biggest giveaway in history ladies and gentlemen, right here tonight at Fenway Park!”

Brown’s representatives confirmed that the surprise gift is valued at more than $40 million, making this the largest audience gifting in live entertainment history.

Those who were in attendance at the show can redeem the cruise at select Margaritaville at Sea sailings over the next 12 months. Find out more information here.

Zac Brown Band is expected to continue to give away four cruises per show; these fans will be able to take a cruise on the new Beachcomber, set to debut in January 2027.

The 27-date “Love & Fear Tour” is set to run through late November, making stops along the way at venues like Columbia’s Merriweather Post Pavilion, Forest Hills Stadium in New York, Morrison’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. Margaritaville at Sea is a presenting sponsor of the tour.
