Rolling Stones' Tour Postponed As Mick Jagger Seeks Medical Treatment

The legendary rockers of The Rolling Stones were forced to postpone their upcoming No Filter Tour in North America due to Mick Jagger’s health issues.

“Mick has been advised by doctors that he cannot go on tour at this time, as he needs medical treatment,” the band said in a statement. “The doctors have advised Mick that he is expected to make a complete recovery so that he can get back on stage as soon as possible.”

The band did not specifically mention what the medical condition is, but reassured fans to hold onto their existing tickets since they will be valid for the rescheduled shows.

McJagger, 75, told fans on Twitter that “I really hate letting you down like this.”

“I’m devastated for having to postpone the tour but I will be working very hard to be back on stage as soon as I can,” he said. “Once again, huge apologies to everyone.”

Bandmates Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood also apologized for the tour postponement and thanked fans for being so supportive during this time.

The 17-date trek was expected to kick-off on April 20 in Miami Gardens, Florida, followed by gigs in cities like Seattle, Denver, Philadelphia, and Foxborough before wrapping-up in Burls Creek Eventgrounds in Canada. While the group has not released any new music, they added some new songs to their usual playlist; while fans can expect to hear hits like “Satisfaction” and “Gimme Shelter” on tour, they can also look forward to Out Of Our Heads’ “Play With Fire,” Bridges To Babylon’s “Out of Control,” and “Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker)” off Goats Head Soup.

At this time, the new tour dates have not been announced but are expected soon.
